Collaborative project

Me and my friends from graphic design and UX design decided to work on soft body dynamics by Cinema4D. We did some research and found there’s a huge potential market of presenting products by using soft body simulation with particles these day.

I am working on the dynamic part of this project as my teammates are going to work on the lightening and textures. I made 4 small loops during the weeks.

Comparing to maya or 3dmax,Cinema 4d is much quicker and easier to simulate soft body dynamics.

This could be easily achieved by mograph in Cinema4D with two simple settings.Simple effector and domain plus random effector can switch the textures quite soomthly.

The softbody dynamics is widely used in a lot of occasions.With the evolution of mograph,dynamics can be easily associated with X-particles or the renders getting unexpected results.

Just like the other three experiments,the rope effects are also widely used in advertising industry. Nike,Pantine or a few other brands have used this effect in their animated advertisings.

The domain was added back in Cinema 4D R21 which was 6 years ago along with mograph chart,with different renders,designers could produce animated work more flexible and more efficient than before.
